Digital X-Rays

Extractions
At Geneva Dental Care, we understand that maintaining good oral hygiene is essential if you would like to keep all of your natural teeth. While we do everything we can to prevent tooth loss, in cases of extreme decay or disease, an extraction may be necessary. Extraction will only be recommended after a thorough and careful examination by one of our experienced dentists. The extraction is performed in the comfort of our office in Glenside and we will provide only the most comfortable and gentle care. Following the extraction, you may experience some discomfort. This is normal and can be reduced with ice packs applied to the cheek for 15 minutes at a time and/or painkillers. Sealants
A sealant is a clear or tooth-colored plastic material placed over a tooth to protect it against decay. When in place, a sealant can fill in the narrow grooves and pits in the teeth that accumulate plaque. Some of these grooves and pits are so narrow that not even one bristle of a toothbrush can fit inside, making them almost impossible to clean on your own. When the plaque is allowed to accumulate, it will develop into a cavity. Once a sealant is on the tooth, however, it will block out the decay-causing plaque, food, and bacteria as well as create a smooth surface on the tooth that is easier to keep clean.

TMJ Treatment
